I'm not quite ready to put all the fun behind me, so as I try and transition back into the real world I will be sharing with you a recap of each day of my trip!! This is Day One of our Family's Disney Social Media Moms Celebration adventure!
We embarked on our journey by heading to San Diego to catch a flight to Orlando, Florida! This would be all of my kiddos first Plane ride and once arriving in Orlando, The whole family's first time to Florida! We caught the Red eye Flight and landed in Orlando at 5:10 am. Orlando International Airport MCO was massive!! We found our way through the airport to Disney's Magical Express service. Disney's Magical Express is a free shuttle service to and from Orlando Airport exclusively for Walt Disney World Resort Guests.
After a short bus ride we arrived at The Disney Beach Club Resort, which is where we will be staying for the next three nights. This resort was beautiful, the lobby breathtaking, and the service was very courteous and accommodating! After checking in and having Bell services hold onto our luggage until our room was ready we decided to wander around and check out the resort.
After our red eye flight and wandering around in all this new territory it was time to register for the conference! We walked into the conference center which was sponsored by Taylor Morrison and The Yacht and Beach Club, we were immediately greeted by many friendly faces including Mickey Mouse Himself!! My family instantly felt like rock stars, and knew we were in good hands!
Now all registered we were on our own until later that afternoon. We skipped over to the Captain's Grill at the adjoining Yacht Club resort! Here we had a delicious breakfast to fuel us after our long travel. The food was delicious, two of my kids had mickey shaped waffles and my oldest had Dark chocolate waffles which were amazing!!
Later that afternoon all the attendees left on a motor coach to a welcoming reception held at The Epcot World ShowPlace, where we got to do some fun networking activities. I was so nervous to be going to a room full of people I had never met, but my nerves were instantly calmed when a really nice young lady by the name of Amanda invited me to sit next to her on the bus. Amanda is a mommy from Arkansas sharing her family's journey over at http://ourhomemadelife.com
After our welcome reception our families boarded a bus to our location for a welcome family dinner and activities, sponsored by Disney Citizenship@Epcot World ShowPlace! We enjoyed a delicious dinner, character meet and greets, and dancing before heading to an IllumiNations Dessert Party, Sponsored by Babble @ Epcot Worldview Plaza. This concluded our first day in Orlando at the Social Media Moms Celebration. Come back tomorrow for Day two of our adventure!
A great beginning of a magical week!
